Goals of Software
Prior to utilising this software solution, Daffodil Care Services’ team members relied heavily on handwritten records and processes. Louis O’Moore, Assistant Director of Services at Daffodil Care Services said, “Daffodil Care Services selected HCS Software Solutions to develop a bespoke cloud-based application to support our care services moving away from handwritten records and processes. The project was to provide a secure online data storage facility and develop a bespoke application for document creation and standardisation across services nationally.”
Working closely with Daffodil Care Services, HCS Software Solutions created a cloud-based software solution that has digitally transformed how Daffodil Care Services perform their daily activities and their core function of providing social care to young people in their many facilities across Ireland. This application stores data referring to all aspects of a young person’s care from referral to admission and daily life, including new client reports, care plans and assessments in a secure Azure SQL Database. This web application also seamlessly integrates with other cloud based Microsoft applications, such as SharePoint and Office 365, allowing team members to access data with ease, giving Daffodil Care Services’ employees a consistent user experience. Hosted on Microsoft’s secure Azure cloud platform, this application also boasts 99.95% uptime which ensures business continuity for Daffodil Care Services.
Speaking of the bespoke software solution, Louis said “All Daffodil Care Services’ IT requirements in both software and hardware are supported by HCS. The system not only enhances the administrative process from a quality perspective but has also reduced the time staff spend on administrative tasks, allowing for more time engaging with the young people in our care, enhancing the overall quality of care“.
