Based in Waterford, the company has successfully operated across a range of industries to provide bespoke software solutions and support We are currently seeking an experienced Application Support .Net Developer to join our growing team on a permanent basis.

As an Application Software Support Developer you will be the first point of contact for all support issues relating to the Software Department
Responsibilities:
- Management of the HCS ticketing system
- Initial triage and troubleshooting of support tickets
- Assign support tickets to the appropriate Development resource as guided by the Technical Lead
- Debugging existing applications managed by HCS Software
- Patching of customer database issues
- Escalation of support issues to senior technical resources when appropriate
- Providing updates on support items to stakeholders
- Testing new development prior to release to customer
- Providing test feedback to senior developers
- Patching of customer database issues
- Maintenance of source control & release management
- Releasing code fixes to UAT and Live Environments
- Providing support for all new applications developed by HCS Software Dept
- Documentation of work completed, time spent, and solutions provided to customers
- Updating support tickets and site / customer documentation with fixes provided and latest information
- Documentation of user guides
- Participation in daily departmental meetings regarding work in progress and outstanding items
Required/Desired Skills for the .Net Developer role:
· 1 years’ experience required, no experience in role will not be considered
· C# / .NET development.
· SQL/SQL Management Studio.
· University degree or diploma in a related field.
· Capability to work on their own initiative given instruction
· ASP.NET Core web API development experience.
· React, JS, Angular, Ruby on Rails would be advantageous.
· Experience working in an agile environment.
· Cloud Based Services such as Azure, AWS.
· Experience with version control systems (Git or others), project management and bug tracking software (JIRA, Azure DevOps or others).
– Based in Ireland and hold full working VISA
Expectations:
HCS will provide training to allow accurate and efficient troubleshooting and escalation of all existing and any new applications.
It is expected that all Developers do their best to gain a high standard of knowledge in technologies used by HCS and keep up to date with the latest technologies
There will be an expectation that the Developer will be competent in self – guided learning and find solutions to issues using all available external resources in conjunction with customer and application specific knowledge which will be available from colleagues.
